Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin inaugurates Chennai’s longest unidirectional flyover


Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Ok Stalin on Friday inaugurated the unidirectional Medavakkam flyover, the longest in Chennai, operating for a distance of two.03 kilometres, connecting Tambaram and Velachery.

The second arm of the three-lane flyover at Medavakkam facilitates hassle-free stream of vehicular visitors. Motorists might keep away from three arterial junctions — Medavakkam-Sholinganallur street, Mount-Medavakkam important street and Medavakkam-Mambakkam street.

The first flyover spanning 1.06 km helps motorists skip the Medavakkam-Sholinganallur street and Medavakkam-Mambakkam street, and together with it the Koyambedu flyover had been inaugurated by the Chief Minister final 12 months.

The inauguration on Friday marks the completion of the development of two unidirectional three-lane flyovers on Velachery-Tambaram Radial street by the state highways division.
