A 50-year-old man was hacked to dying with a pointy weapon whereas asleep at his residence in Shirur taluka of Pune district, after he was mistaken for his son at nighttime. The police have arrested a 19-year-old for committing the crime.
Early Friday morning, Jalindar Dhere, a resident of Babhulsar village in Shirur taluka, was discovered mendacity useless in a pool of blood within the veranda of his home. Dhere, who used to work as a safety guard at a personal firm in Ranjangaon industrial space, had suffered a number of accidents on his neck, shoulder and again.
