Around 30 leaders and staff of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) wing of MS University in Vadodara had been detained Saturday after they clashed with the police whereas making an attempt to barge into the pinnacle workplace to confront the Vice-Chancellor concerning the motion initiated towards the Faculty of Fine Arts.
The incident occurred two days after right-wing teams protested towards the alleged presence of “objectionable artwork” throughout the analysis of the final-year initiatives on the Faculty of Fine Arts.
On Saturday afternoon, ABVP staff arrived on the workplace of the Vice-Chancellor of MSU and chanted slogans towards the college, the Faculty of Fine Arts, and the police. While the college has fashioned a nine-member fact-finding committee, the ABVP staff burst firecrackers to mark their protest because the Vice-Chancellor didn’t meet the agitating ABVP staff.
Later, a number of models of the Vadodara metropolis police arrived on the head workplace and tried to disperse the gang. However, a number of ABVP staff obstructed the police jeeps from driving away from the detained leaders.
